Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Velocity, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates veiocity.com (the "Service"), an AI contextual advertising platform that enables publishers of AI chat applications to earn revenue from relevant, clearly labeled ad placements inside their products. The Company matches advertisements to individual conversation turns based on topic and purchase-intent signals extracted in real time. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to information we collect through the Service, through our publisher SDK integrations, and through direct communications with you.

We are based at 156 5th Avenue, Suite 1200, New York, NY 10010 and can be reached at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Publisher Account Information

When a publisher registers to integrate the Velocity SDK, we collect information necessary to operate the account and disburse revenue: company name, primary contact name, email address, billing details, platform configuration choices (including ad category preferences and topic-exclusion lists), and SDK integration identifiers. We also collect usage data associated with the account, including impression counts, conversation turn volumes, fill rates, and earnings reports.

2.2 Advertiser Account Information

When an advertiser creates a campaign through the Velocity platform, we collect business name, contact information, campaign parameters (target topic categories, intent levels, language and region preferences), ad creative content, and billing information. Campaign performance data (impressions served, click-through events where applicable) is associated with the advertiser account.

2.3 Conversation Context Processing

When a publisher integrates the Velocity SDK into an AI chat interface, the text of individual conversation turns is transmitted to our matching engine for real-time intent analysis. This analysis identifies the topic category and purchase-intent signal of the turn and is used solely to select and serve a single contextually relevant ad placement. Conversation turn content is processed in memory and is not stored, not logged, and not retained after the matching decision is complete. We do not associate conversation content with any individual user identifier. We do not build profiles of the readers using a publisher's AI chat product. We do not track readers across sessions, across publishers, or across the web. We do not use conversation content to train machine learning models without explicit written consent.

2.4 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you submit through veiocity.com, including: contact details (name, email, company, role) when you fill out a contact form or request information; the content of messages you send us; and newsletter subscription preferences.

2.5 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit veiocity.com, we automatically collect limited technical information: IP address and approximate location (city and region level); browser type, operating system, and device class; pages visited, referring URLs, and time on page; and cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5).

2.6 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data

veiocity.com is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Velocity SDK and deliver contextually matched ad placements within publisher integrations;
  • Calculate, report, and disburse publisher revenue share earnings;
  • Deliver advertiser campaigns and provide campaign performance reports;
  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested information about the platform;
  • Maintain and improve the contextual matching engine, using aggregated and anonymized signals rather than stored conversation content;
  • Send service updates and, with your consent where required, marketing communications about the Velocity platform;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below. Velocity's ad targeting is based on real-time conversation context, not on persistent user profiles or behavioral data collected across sessions.

4. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (including cloud infrastructure, payment processing, and analytics providers) under contractual data processing terms that restrict their use to providing the contracted service;
  • Publishers, who receive impression and earnings data for their own integration, but never individual reader identities or conversation content;
  • Advertisers, who receive campaign performance reports (impressions, relevance metrics), but never individual reader identities or conversation content;
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company, our users, or the public;
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies on veiocity.com to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure usage. Velocity's ad-serving layer operates through the publisher's own AI chat interface and does not place cookies on the reader's browser through the SDK. For details and choices about cookies on veiocity.com itself, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Publisher and advertiser account data is retained for the life of the account and for three years following account closure for accounting and audit purposes. Conversation turn content received through publisher SDK integrations is not retained at all; it is processed in memory and discarded after each matching decision. Inactive marketing-list contacts are purged after 24 months. Server access logs for veiocity.com are retained for 90 days, then aggregated.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege access controls. SDK communications between publisher integrations and the Velocity matching engine are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, and the ability to limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. New York Residents

New York does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. As a matter of policy, we extend the following baseline rights to all U.S. residents regardless of state of residence.

9.1 Baseline Rights

  • Right to Know: request the categories of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information you have provided.
  • Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails or opt out via the link in each marketing message.

9.2 How to Exercise

Email [email protected] with a description of your request and enough detail for us to verify your identity. We respond within 45 days.

9.3 Sector-Specific Rights

If you are protected by federal sector laws (for example, HIPAA or GLBA), those laws may give you additional rights with respect to data covered by them.

9.4 California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may also exercise the rights granted under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Velocity's contextual targeting is based on real-time conversation content processed in-memory, not on persistent identifiers or behavioral profiles, and does not constitute sale or sharing under the CCPA or CPRA.

To submit a CCPA or CPRA request, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request."

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice on the Service.
